CINCINNATI (February 5, 2013) – The Urology Group has hired Dr. Cynthia D. Westermann, an anatomic and clinical pathology specialist, adding to its staff of now 35 physicians.
Dr. Westermann joins The Urology Group after previously serving as the Medical Director of the Pathology and Laboratory Department of Mercy Anderson Hospital as a member of Southern Ohio Pathology Consultants, Inc.
Her office is located at the group’s new Norwood Surgery Center, which offers a complete suite of urological health services, including outpatient surgery, imaging procedures and diagnostic testing. The campus combines all new, state-of-the-art equipment to serve patients, all in one convenient location, something that attracts talent like Dr. Westermann, according to Dr. Gary Kirsh, President of The Urology Group.

Dr. Westermann has authored articles in numerous publications, including Modern Pathology and Clinical Research. She is certified by the American Board of Pathology and the National Board of Medical Examiners, and is licensed in the state of Ohio. She is a member of the College of American Pathologists, American Society of Clinical Pathologists, Cincinnati Academy of Medicine, the Ohio State Medical Association and the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology, Inc.
Dr. Westermann resides in North Avondale with her husband, David, and their two children.
