Dr. Stephen Kappa of The Urology Group speaks candidly with Lincoln Ware of WDBZ about how important prostate cancer screening is, particularly for high risk groups. Statistics show that Black men are 1.7 times more likely to be diagnosed with—and 2.1 times more likely to die from—prostate cancer than white men. All men over 50 should be screened but Black men and those with a family history of the disease should start earlier and make an annual check up a regular part of their healthcare.
