Michael Galvin to replace retiring CEO Earl Walz at The Urology Group

September 04, 2025

The Urology Group is profoundly grateful for the 29 years of service provided by retiring CEO Earl Walz. His contribution to our growth and success has been tremendous.

At the same time, we are happy to announce that Michael Galvin will fill the role of CEO at The Urology Group and The Urology Group-Central Indiana effective September 1, 2025.

We’re fortunate to have Michael join us, as he is well known in the physician practice community in Cincinnati.

Since 2021 Michael has been with OrthoAlliance, first as VP of Surgical Services, then, since 2023, as Chief Operating Officer. In this role, he had operational supervision for 12 orthopedic practices and more than 2,000 employees. Michael has a deep understanding of the business and culture of physician practice management.

He also previously served in leading practice operational roles for Mayfield Brain & Spine as well as surgery center leadership roles with United Surgical Partners International and ASC joint ventures with the Christ Hospital, TriHealth and Premier Health.

“In selecting Michael as our new CEO, we were impressed with his desire to ensure that patient experience and clinical outcomes remain first and foremost in The Urology Group’s mission,” said Dr. Gary Kirsh, President of The Urology Group.

Michael earned his Bachelor of Science in biology at the University of Dayton and his MBA at Xavier University.

Welcome Michael Galvin!
