Local 12: Artificial Intelligence Now Used for Prostate Cancer Treatment
Dr. Brooke Edwards and Dr. Sanja Bia of The Urology Group talk about a new use of artificial intelligence (AI) in prostate cancer radiation treatment. The new Adaptive Radiation Therapy technology allows doctors to adjust the radiation plan before each treatment, if needed, to account for changes in the patient’s anatomy. The Urology Group is the first in the region to be using this technology.
