Best of NKY – Great Turn Out, Great Community

May 19, 2017

Last night, The Urology Group participated in an event to celebrate the best-of-the-best of Northern Kentucky. We were proud to be the exclusive healthcare sponsor of  “Best of NKY” presented by Northern Kentucky Magazine.

The NKY Convention Center was filled with our region’s finest retailers, entertainment companies, home care and other small businesses and, and of course, food and beverages. Hundreds of residents came out to vote for their favorites among more than 230 businesses.

We had fun in our booth, asking attendees to vote for their favorite toilet tissue simply by feeling the texture of the rolls. Turns out, Charmin was the crowd favorite, earning 49% of the overall votes with Cottonelle Clean Care coming in second with 21%. And, one lucky person, Roxanne Millman, won a year’s supply of toilet tissue as the random winner in our drawing. [In case you’re wondering, the average person uses about 10 rolls of paper a month, which comes out to about 5 cases a year. We’re awarding six cases, just to be safe.]

All joking aside, The Urology Group is proud to be a part of the vibrant Northern Kentucky community. Our NKY office opened more than 30 years ago and officially became a part of The Urology Group in 1996. Since then, we have helped NKY residents improve their quality of life, whether they face persistent bladder issues, kidney stones or prostate cancer.

Many of our physicians live in the area and support local school and community events. In fact, one such event is our cancer screenings for first responders. Firefighters face an increased risk of many cancers, including prostate cancer, because of their line of work. So, we responded with our “Help Extinguish Prostate Cancer” campaign to provide free screenings. We held a screening at the Edgewood Fire/EMS station last month and will hold another at the Independence Firehouse in June. We believe it is our duty as part of this community to help those who put their lives on the line for us every day.

If you have urologic health concerns, we invite you to get to know our six Northern Kentucky physicians and to call on them in our Crestview Hills office. Of course, we also have 32 other fine physicians in Ohio who can also assist you as well.
