Here’s to a Great Year, and More Ahead

December 30, 2021 | By: Earl Walz

If every significant event that occurred at The Urology Group in 2021 were to be viewed as a new rung in a ladder, then our climb toward the future has extended beyond what we envisioned.

Changing the calendar from 2021 to 2022

Looking back on the year, we are amazed by the courage and resilience of our community, patients, and staff. Despite the prolonged pandemic and its related hardships, together we pursued excellence in health, care, and collaboration. We didn’t merely overcome the challenge, you helped us raise the bar.

And with each step upward, you’ve enabled us to set new standards in excellence. I’d like to share a few highlights we’ve accomplished in 2021, together:

  • Innovations: Erectile dysfunction may not be a life-threatening condition, but it effects nearly 30 million men in the U.S., and that takes its toll on emotional and mental health. In 2021, we added a treatment that provides pain-free, pill-free, and long-term results for erectile dysfunction. The Alma Duo treatment delivers low-intensity pulses that improve blood-flow. With just six 15-minute treatments, the ultrasound wave therapy can be completed in as little as 2-3 weeks. We are proud to be the first urologists in the region to offer this treatment.
  • Staff: The Urology Group continues to attract some of the most coveted talent to our team of physicians and staff members. In the past year these additions included more nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and countless other team members who work hard to provide excellent quality of care to our patients. You can meet our growing team of nurse practitioners and physician assistants here. Excellent care also relies heavily on having top physicians to meet all your urologic needs, and we continue to attract the best talent in urology.
  • Milestones: In 1996, seven area urology practices joined forces to create an innovative medical group designed uniquely to access integrated finances, human resources, and technology. Today, The Urology Group is one of the largest specialty healthcare groups in the region, with 12 tristate locations and a state-of-the-art surgery center. Tradition suggests gifting silver for a 25th anniversary, but we have been given far better gifts: The continued trust of our patients and community, the wherewithal to access lifesaving technologies, and a growing team of unparalleled talent. Proof to that last point: For the second year, we were selected as one of the Best Workplaces in Ohio by Ohio Business Magazine. Bravo, team!

The Ladder We Stand On Is the Shoulders of Our Community

Since 1996, the goal at The Urology Group has been to provide accessible, compassionate, and breakthrough care. This goal has not been compromised by the unexpected; we do what we must, which is rise to the occasion.

However, doing so is easier, and much more rewarding, in a community like ours. Thank you.
