About Dr. Wirtz
Dr. Wirtz graduated from the Medical College of Toledo in 2005 and received his surgical and urology training at Indiana University. An accomplished surgeon, Dr. Wirtz has performed over 1,000 robotic operations and serves on the Robotics Executive Committee at The Jewish Hospital.
Treatment Philosophy
“I provide compassionate, patient-centered care for men with localized prostate, kidney, and bladder cancers, as well as BPH. My approach emphasizes clear communication, shared decision-making, and individualized treatment plans that align with each patient’s values and quality-of-life goals.”
After caring for patients during the day, Dr. Wirtz stays very busy at home with four children.

Dr. Wirtz is certified by the American Board of Urology and licensed to practice in the state of Ohio. He is a member of the American Urological Association, the American Association of Clinical Urologists and the Large Urology Group Practice Association. Dr. Wirtz is also a member of the American Medical Association, the American Urological Association and the Indiana Urologic Association.
Dr. Wirtz is a member of the Board of Directors at The Urology Group.
