Richard’s Story – Prostate cancer trial program

June 03, 2019

Richard switched to The Urology Group when he had to discontinue care with a different provider. Richard and his research team are carefully monitoring his prostate-specific antigens (PSA) for indications of prostate issues related to cancer.

“Cancer is cancer,” Richard says. “The Urology Group goes out of their way to answer any questions I have, make me feel extremely comfortable at the facility, and is on time so subsequent treatments at other facilities fit into my best timeframe.”

As a member of a prostate cancer trial research program, Richard receives cutting-edge treatments and investigational medications. Research gathered during studies like these advance medical technologies, developing tomorrow’s urology therapies.

“From the first day, the research doctor came out of his office, put his hand out and said, ‘It’s a pleasure to work with you.’ I felt like family right then,” shares Richard.

Richard feels grateful that he discovered The Urology Group.

“There is a night-and-day difference between my previous clinic and The Urology Group,” he says. “The people that I’ve dealt with there are exceptional. These are quality doctors. They’ll bend over backward to do anything for you.”
