In many men, starting around age 40-50, the prostate can grow. Enlarged prostate, or BPH, is a common, benign (non-cancerous) condition that results from this growth and can often affect urination, sometimes to a level that sacrifices quality of life. Learn about BPH, how it is diagnosed, and the variety of treatment options available.

Dr. Flynn graduated from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C., and completed his residency in the Department of Urology at the University of Toledo Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame.
